Cannes Film Festival 2019: 3iS on the Red Carpet

Graduates and 3iS students will represent the school for the 2019 Cannes Film Festival. Cecilia de Arce (3iS promo 2015) will present a short film at the Critics’ Week while students from the Bachelor’s Degree in Cinema & Audiovisual will capture the best moments of the event.

A Graduate Student competing in Critics’ Week

Cecilia de Arce is a director and scriptwriter, graduated from the film and audiovisual sector of 3iS in 2015.

Her film “Une Sur Trois” was selected the same year at the Clermont-Ferrand Festival and awarded the prize for Best Actress.
The short film is broadcast on the television channel Arte, in its weekly magazine Court-Circuit.

In 2019, Cecilia de Arce signed Mardi de 8 à 18.

This short film, which narrates the adventures of a supervisor in a college, is selected at the Critics Week of the Cannes Film Festival.
For this 58th edition of the competition, Cecilia de Arce’s film competes with 9 other short films from around the world.

Mardi de 8 à 18 will be screened in the presence of the film crew on May 21 at Espace Miramar (Cannes).

The Bachelor Cinema & Audiovisual on the Croisette

As is the case every year, 3rd year Bachelor of Cinema & Audiovisual students will do an internship as part of the 2019 Cannes Film Festival. Their mission will be to collect the best moments of this 72nd edition for archive images.

Selected among about forty students, 6 has been selected: Alexandre Ayoub, Camille Conroy, Gwenaëlle Saintilan, Ulysse Nizet, Agathe Delcourt, Guillaume Wojciechowski.
During this 2-week marathon, these students will have to adopt a professional attitude in order to produce quality work. The reactivity and the trick will be in order to collect the best moments, in all discretion with the personalities.

The winners of Europcar’s “En Route pour Cannes” competition will also be present on the red carpet. Romane Massard and Léa Ponce, first arrivals of the competition with their short film Escapade Littorale, won a VIP stay at the Cannes Film Festival 2019.
